LEDNetwork.ca are a commercial lighting business based in Canada with both an ‘on’ and ‘offline’ side to the business. Established in 2012, they started out helping small local businesses and families reduce their electricity bills by installing LED Lamps. Within a year they turned their attention to much larger commercial projects working with electricians, factory owners and contractors which they still do to this day.
Problem
As a result of the Covid-19 lockdown, LED Network’s service based business came to a standstill and the business needed to diversify into ecommerce for survival.
The business had no existing ecommerce website at all so the problem was to design, build and optimize an ecommerce store as quickly as possible.

This really was a case of starting from scratch and building a whole store and ecommerce business from the ground up.
Solution
After exploring the Shopify marketplace, LED Network decided to work with us due to our world exclusive Shopify theme and our unique ‘organic’ approach to ecommerce.
Unlike almost every other agency out there that focuses solely on paid ads, we take an ‘organic’ approach to ecommerce growth marketing. Your store should be optimized from the ground up from day one to help it maximize performance in all channels, not just paid ones and that’s why they chose us.
They initially came on board with us for our premium Shopify website design, build and optimization service called ULTIMATE Retail Growth which helps retailers build, upgrade or migrate to a faster, higher-ranking, higher-converting Shopify store in just 2-4 weeks.
They have since been with us on a retainer basis for Shopify SEO Services and Shopify Support Services
We consulted with the business to help produce an initial product catalogue to be exported into Shopify and provided them with an ongoing framework for adding additional products to their store’s inventory including imagery.
We took a detailed design brief from the client and built them a store that was in keeping with their existing brand guidelines and built a new store using our RankHigherTheme®
We manually optimized their new product feed of 500+ SKU’s for the search engines, our filter tech and the Google Shopping Comparison Service.
We designed and planned an extensive sitewide product filtering system for the best possible UX on mobiles, desktops and tablets.
We implemented a comprehensive shipping policy on products for both Canada and the US.
We performed a detailed pre-launch checklist for a brand new store so that the business was prepared and ready to manage a fully operational ecommerce business.
We ran post launch technical analysis to ensure a smooth launch.
We built a series of automated marketing sequences that helps generate sales on autopilot.
With the help of the client, we currently design and plan an ongoing content marketing strategy to drive additional traffic and sales and to attract high quality links to help build the domain authority of a new store.

Results
Since 2022, LED Network have seen their online business grow consistently which has come mainly from organic marketing both SEO and email marketing. In 2023 v 2022 the business achieved the following results:
- Online Store Sessions up 7.8K%
- Average Order Value up 106%
- Direct/Email Marketing up 11K%
- Overall Store Revenue up 740%
- Overall Revenue in 2024 (Year to Date) up 686%
These figures do not include the hugely positive impact that the ecommerce side of the business has had on the service side of the business which has generated a significant number of large commercial installation projects across the whole of Canada.

I’ll give you a little background before I let you know my thoughts on Kristin and KMD. My primary company is a service company that looks after energy-efficient lighting upgrades for medium and large businesses. Coming out of the Covid slowdown, we knew we had to add an e-commerce site, but I didn’t have a clue about how to go about that. I only knew three things 1) Shopify is the platform to use 2) SEO is the only way to compete (and that takes a long time to establish), 3) All SEO agencies are selfish who’ll take your hard-earned money and waste it on zero results programs (learned this the hard way with our service company site, both SEO and Google ADS agencies cost us thousands and thousands).

All I can say is the URG system has consistently produced results for us. The only thing holding us back is the amount of time we have to continue building out the site (products and blogs). But with that said, we have shown steady and consistent growth in a highly competitive marketplace.
